11月8号晚，437必赢会员中心于图书馆五楼会议厅举办第五届专业技能大赛开幕式暨英文辩论赛决赛。437必赢会员中心党总支书记陈国兴、院长郑众，公共外语教学部、英语系部分专业教师及学工人员出席比赛并担任评委。

首先，郑院长为第五届专业技能大赛的致辞，他强调语言专业学习要多读、勤思、常练，首先努力做一名“通才”，然后做一名“专才”，最后实现“智才”的目标，并预祝本次专业技能大赛圆满成功。

辩论赛前期经过初赛，8名2015级英语专业选手进入决赛。决赛采用“BP”制即英国议会制辩论，辩题为：This House would anomymize the funding,display and sale of art（本院将对艺术的资助、展览和销售实行匿名化）。在自我陈述环节中，选手思路清晰、条分缕析，表达对辩题的深切体会；在辩驳环节，4组选手大脑飞速运转、语锋流转，屡次将大赛推向高潮。最终，刘文垚、张子扬一组获得一等奖，刘文垚获“最佳辩手”。

陈国兴书记在赛后对选手们的表现进行了专业细致的点评，同时希望语言专业的学生在今后的学习中不断加强口语交流和表达能力的提升。在做到“学会说,能够说”之后，要“敢于说”，最终达到“自由的表达观点”的状态。

外语专业技能大赛系该学院提升学生语言应用及实践能力的体系化专业竞赛。通过英文辩论赛、外语书法比赛、百科知识竞赛、英语日语朗诵比赛、课本剧展演等多种活动和形式，引导学生立足专业，学习交流，提升技能，为实现“中外汇通，德才兼备”的目标不断努力。

The School of Foreign Languages held the opening ceremony of the fifth Professional Skills Competition

On the evening of November 8th, the School of Foreign Languages held the opening ceremony of the fifth Professional Skills Competition and the final of the English debate in the conference hall on the fifth floor of the library. Chen Guoxing, the Party branch secretary of the School of Foreign Languages, Zheng Zhong, dean of the School of Foreign Languages, some teachers and academic staff from public foreign language teaching department and English language department attended the competition and served as judges.

First of all, Zheng Zhong gave a speech for the fifth Professional Skills Competition. Then he emphasized that language major students should do more reading, be diligent and do more exercises. First, as a language student you should try to be a generalist and then became a specialist. The goal was to be a smart talent. Finally he wished this professional skill competition gained a complete success.

After preliminary contest, eight English major students of senior entered the final. The final debate would be held on the BP system, the British parliamentary system. The debate title was: This House would anomymize the funding, display and sale of art. In the self-statement section, the players had clear ideas and deliberate analysis, expressing their deep understanding of the debate; in the refutation section, four groups of contestants thought and reacted quickly, answered fluently, and repeatedly put the match to the climax of the contest. In the end, Liu Wenyao and Zhang Ziyang won the first prize and Liu Wenyao was awarded the best debater.

After the game, Secretary Chen gave a professional and meticulous comment on the performance of the players. At the same time, he hoped that the language majors would continue to enhance their oral communication and expression skills in their future studies. After doing learning, being able to say, we must dare to say and finally can freely express ideas.

The Foreign Language Professional Skills Competition was a systematic professional competition for the students to improve their language application and practical ability. Through English debates, foreign language calligraphy competition, encyclopedia knowledge competition, English Japanese recitation competition, textbook drama show and other activities and forms, students were guided to professional, learning and communication, and improved their skills, and worked hard to achieve the goal  Exchanging China and Foreign culture, having both ability and political integrity  .
